There are two ski regions on either side of Bellevaux, Hirmentaz is lift-linked to Les Haberes and La Chèverie is linked to La Grande - Terche on the outskirts of the Portes du Soleil region close by is the area Pys La Sommand and Pys de Ley which have 21 drag and chair lifts between them. This is a picturesque and traditional mountain area with heavily forested slopes and also boasts the following resorts:
Pys La Sommand and Pys de Ley , La Gande Terch, Les Brasses, Les Haberes, St Jean d'aulps, Le Col Du Feu and Le Plateau de Plaine Joux.

This alpine area boasts many snow activities so if it is cross country skiing, trek skiing, snowboarding or even dog sledging for the more adventurous - the Vallee du Brevon is an ideal location. However for the more demanding skier the popular ski area of Portes du Soleil is accessible.
